Mrs. Jackson is a former social worker with a specialty in adoption, foster care, family engagement, and Social and Emotional Learning. A mother of 3 children, 2 of whom are adopted, she also runs a home school co-op in the Charlotte, North Carolina. It is focused on literacy for children of all ages. She still advocates for and actively teaches Social and Emotional Learning in various programs throughout the city. She graduated from Virginia Tech University with a degree in Psychology.
