FAQ

How do I register my child?
We are excited your family is interested in our school. You can begin the enrollment process by completing the interest form above.

What is the age range for your programs?
We currently accept students K-12.

What is the tuition rates and fees?
Our tuition rates vary based on the family's preference with homeschooling or private schooling. Our registration fee is an annual fee of $200 (per student, per school year) regardless of the families preference.

Do I have to have a registered home school?
Only if your child is under our homeschooling program option.

What is your schedule?
We typically meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday from 10 am - 3:00 pm. The students can arrive at 9:30 am and are dismissed promptly at 3:00 pm. There is no before or afterschool care available at this time.

My child has (learning or other disability here). Is that an issue?
We can accommodate most learners with disabilities. Our policy requires that all children be non-aggressive and non-violent. We would love to meet and discuss your specific concerns with your child's learning environment prior to enrollment.

Do you provide grades or report cards?
Yes, we do, but of course we do things differently. We don't want our students learning to earn a grade, so we use a different system when determining their grades. We want our students to show mastery of their learning.

Do you give multi-child discounts?
Yes, please speak with us during your enrollment process for additional details.

What is your typical class size?
Our class sizes range from 5 to 10 students. We like to keep our classes small.

What is your instructional style and what curriculum do you use?
We don't use a one fits all teaching style. Whatever we can to do keep your child excited about learning is our style. We know that how we teach your child is the most important style, and that varies based on the individual child.

With that, we also use a variety of research-based curriculums and teaching tactics. We love teaching in a multi-sensory environment. We also use project and inquiry based learning for our upper students.

Do you give quizzes, tests, or exams?
Of course, but again our style is a different from traditional learning. Your child's "test" may be a debate on a topic we've discuss during our session. Your child's "exam" could be a art project showing what they've learning based on our book for the session.

We do test annually based on the North Carolina requirements to administer a nationally standardized test. For our 3rd-5th graders we use the Brigance Comprehensive and for our middle school and high schoolers, we use the California Achievement Test (Not Timed).
